Carpet cleaning in the MetroWest

Hot-water extraction with baby- and pet-safe products, booked on its own or alongside a regular or deep clean.

Chapter 01

Hot water, not a quick pass

SC Cleaning Services cleans carpet by hot-water extraction, the method also called steam cleaning. SC’s own carpet page describes it as hot water and a fiber-safe detergent sprayed onto the carpet together, and calls steam cleaning generally the best method of carpet cleaning.

The same page notes that “Steam cleaning has been proven to remove 98% of dirt and bacteria.” That is SC’s own claim rather than an independent test, so read it as the company’s reason for choosing this method. Its explanation is that the water is heated until it vaporizes, and the vapor loosens dirt particles and breaks down bacteria and allergens on the spot.

SC also says it doesn’t offer a “quick clean” on carpet and tailors the service to fit your needs. For homes in Framingham, Ashland and Holliston with wall-to-wall carpet in the bedrooms or the living room, describe the rooms and the carpet you have when you call (508) 816-6286.

Safe for the baby and the dog, once it dries

SC says its carpet products are natural, baby- and pet-safe, and can be found on the FDA Generally Recognized as Safe list. That wording is the company’s own, and it is the reason the product choice matters in a house with a crawling baby or a dog that sleeps on the bedroom carpet.

The safety advice is more specific than the product claim. The riskiest moment in carpet cleaning is during the work and just after it, so SC’s page recommends keeping pets, birds especially, and babies out of the home until the carpet is dry and fresh air has come in. Plan the day so they’re somewhere else, then let the air move through the house.

Newborns have weaker immune systems than adults or toddlers, which is why SC makes the case for cleaning carpet at all: a carpet that holds mold and bacteria is a health question for the smallest people in the house.

Chapter 03

Book it alone or alongside a clean

You can book carpet cleaning as its own visit, or ask for it as an add-on to a regular or deep clean. It is also on the add-on list for move-in and move-out cleaning, when the carpet in an empty house is the last thing standing between you and the keys.

SC doesn’t publish prices. It gives free same-day estimates, and the rough estimate is based on what you tell them, so it may be adjusted after the work is done. Have the number of rooms and the kind of carpet ready when you call.
